SPEAKER FOR SCHOOLS

-laura mcgahey-

Invest time today, developing Earth-friendly habits, for the wellbeing of tomorrow.

enhance Your School's Culture

Have you ever wanted to implement a change to your school culture- the way of thinking, feeling, doing... being, but have met resistance. Or perhaps you see change, for the better, for a short while but then returns back to the way it used to be?

This is at the heart of Laura's research, study and now work as a speaker for teachers, carers and schools. She encountered this situation while teaching full time and always wondered why, if staff believed that learning outdoors was beneficial (for many reasons!), why weren't they taking their learners outdoors more often in an intentional way?

Ah ha! It comes down to values and of the beliefs of staff themselves. Adults beliefs about school culture are deeply engrained, causing us to think in a certain way automatically, and this influences directly our habits... our actions. Laura now focuses on creating new beliefs and habits of thinking so that school culture can shift for the better!
